Rabbits!! we have recently been a little quiet, the Dev. team has been working hard to bring you the largest update to the game thus far. while we won't commit to a date for release right now we are comfortable saying it will be by the end of this month.
We will be releasing articles that go into much more detail on all of the upcoming functionality, but we did want to share with you what will be released in this update.
In addition to this article, we will also do an AMA next Saturday, August 13th at 2 pm PST, to go over the update in more detail and take questions from the community.
Armor Fusion
This is the update we have all been looking forward to since we started our journey a year ago, you will be able to fuse a Greenprint with a full set of armor components of good or better quality into an Anima Armor.
Once you have fused your armor components successfully you will receive an Anima Armor NFT. On this NFT in the top right-hand corner, you will see a color signifying the Quality of the armor. Good is gold, Fine is blue, and Exquisite is purple. Around the borders, the color of the details change to show the rarity of the armor. Common is grey, Uncommon is yellow, Epic is blue, Legendary is purple, and Mythic is Green.
Equipping your armor
After crafting your armor or buying one off the secondary market you will be able to send it into the 3D game and equip it. Once equipped the stats on your armor are going to take effect.
Free characters
If a player doesn’t have an armor equipped they will be able to choose one of three free characters as their in-game avatar. players who don't have an Anima Armor equipped will only be able to participate in the practice races.
The 3D Market place
One of the most exciting aspects of a 3D Metaverse is self-expression through customization. We have big plans in the future for customization from companion skins to back accessories and limited-edition skins.
The Merchant
A traveling merchant will appear in the HUB, this isn't his final home he will be moving to a more permanent location once the Mall is open, but for now you will be able to buy Tortuga Tokens and customization options from him at his current location.
Skins
The store will be launching with a selection of skins that get progressively cooler and more unique. Skins you purchase in the store will be equipable on day 1.

Apartment Decorations
We will also release a variety of apartment customization packs, these are the first of many planned apartment decoration packs, we are planning everything from new additions to our current categories to new categories like plants and decorative musical instruments. We decided to release these categories first because they have all the basic necessities to start making your apartments feel homier.
The store will offer 4 apartment decorations packs:
- Customization basic pack
1 Common bed
1 Common desk
1 Common floor light
1 Common table light
1 Common wall light
1 Common seating
1 Common table - Lighting pack
5 light fixtures with a minimum rarity of uncommon - Furniture pack
3 Items with a minimum rarity of uncommon a mix of:
Beds, Tables, Desks, and Seating. - Decorations pack
2 Items with a minimum rarity of uncommon a mix of:
Wall art, Sound Device, Coffee machine.
Store items limited time offering
most of the items in the store will be offered for a limited time only, then they will be removed and new items will replace them, so get them while you can.
Standard races
Standard races will occur every 30 minutes. Players can sign up for the upcoming race via an NPC at the race building. To be eligible for sign-ups, the player needs to have an armor equipped and pay race insurance. The insurance lasts until the player fails to show for a race or leaves it early. If insurance is lost, it can be repurchased for another 5M Shell. A sign-up will cost 1,000,000 Shell with a max of 8 players per race, 5 minimum. Race sign-ups are first come, first serve. If a race is full, players can sign-up for a reserve list which will automatically sign them up if a player drops out or is slashed. Players on the race list have a window of time to cancel their sign-up if they want, ending 5 minutes before a given race starts to allow time for reserve list players to get ready. If a player cancels their sign-up before the deadline, they are refunded their full deposit and a reserve list player is put in their place. If a player does not show up for a race entirely, they will lose their 1M Shell sign-up fee and forfeit their insurance.
Rewards
Rewards are based on the number of people who signed up for the race. Your% of the prize pool depends on your final leaderboard placement, as does the amount of Tortuga Tokens you are awarded.
UI upgrade
As we gear up for mass adoption we are implementing many quality of life improvements, one such upgrade is the new UI it is both more intuitive and more premium looking.
Game performance optimizations
Another quality of life improvement that we know many of you have been asking for is to make the game less demanding for slower systems. we have overhauled all of the in-game models and animations to make the game run better on weaker systems. This has been a huge undertaking that has been happening in the background for some time now, but we felt it was important for as many of our loyal players to be able to play the 3D game as possible.
